Udatinos - Sensibili all'acqua is a datapoietic and participatory installation conceived by Oriana Persico as part of the Panta Rei programme, supported by the Fondazione Cariverona and Urbs Picta in collaboration with the Museo del Contemporaneo and the Musei Civici di Verona | Museo di Storia Naturale. The work takes shape on the banks of the Adige as a sensitive organism that can react in real time to environmental data and interactions with the public through light, sound and touch. Set up in the spaces of the Museo di Storia Naturale, Verona, Udatinos enters into dialogue with the ecological and scientific side of the museum, stimulating reflection on the river as a living ecosystem, collective memory and shared resource. The device, which can switch itself off if neglected and ignored, feeds on the community’s active participation, inviting us to rethink the relationship between nature and technology and between residents and environment. The project fits into the context of ArtVerona as a poetic and political gesture that can give back art the vital function of listening, co-existence and regeneration.
