Into the Sicily… Experimentation, art, beauty in contact with the contingencies of our socio-cultural context: Landscapes, light, fertile land of great writers and small entrepreneurs, of honest people and sensationalism on obliterated memories. Everything becomes plastic material that is formed through the data of a mixed territory, full of aspects. In 2003, at the behest of its artistic director Lo Magno Giuseppe, the omonim space became an art center and exhibition place. Artists and contaminations shape a rich and multiple reality, pieces of life on the wall: 30 years of stories. “Le Cento Sicilie-II più Ibrido dei continenti” wrote Gesualdo Bufalino referring to his own land. 2023: Art within art: Lo Magno artecontemporanea and Amenta Stamperia d’Arte open the art centre called BASSI BENEVENTANO, the second site for the gallery, housed within the prestigious spaces of Palazzo Beneventano in Scicli. Every year various individual exhibitions are planned we also takes part in art fairs and collaborates in the organization of national and international events.
