Stefano Malinverno Arte Moderna e Contemporanea

Milano

D1

Stefano Malinverno is an art dealer based in Milan and specialized in Post-war and Contemporary art. An art collector for over 30 years and a gallery owner for over 20 years, his artistic research mainly focuses on Italian and International Post-war Avant-garde movements. Over the years, in addition to important collaborations with art institutions and museums, Stefano Malinverno organized major exhibitions dedicated to artists such as Francesco Lo Savio, Walter Leblanc, Gianni Colombo, Jesús-Rafael Soto, Salvatore Scarpitta, Franco Angeli, Luciano Bartolini, Key Hiraga, Antonio Calderara, Tano Festa, Mario Deluigi, Mary Bauermeister, Mirko Basaldella, Ray Parker, Katsumi Nakai and Nobuya Abe. A particular and increasing interest is addressed towards the NYC’s art scene and in general American movements such as Lyrical Abstraction, Abstract Expressionism, Color-Field Painting and Pop Art. Tony Berlant, Fritz Bultman, Giorgio Cavallon, Al Held, Ray Johnson, Robert Natkin, Costantino Nivola, Conrad Marca-Relli, Ray Parker, Beverly Pepper, Larry Poons, Ludwig Sander, Richard Stankiewicz and Angelo Savelli are just some of the artists that currently are present in the gallery’s collection. The gallery continues to pursue acquisitions from the post-war period art with great passion. As times change, we continue to keep reinventing ourselves and our growth in both knowledge as well as in the rediscovery of the artists who encounter the taste and the history of the gallery’s artistic path. The initial focus on the 1950’s, 1960’s and 1970’s has progressively expanded towards artists and movements of the last two decades of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century. In fact, more recently we are delving into the work of artists such as Peter Dreher, James Brown, Lawrence Carroll, David Simpson and Gabriele Basilico. By comparing different artistic expressions, the intent of the gallery is to establish a dialogue and interconnection between apparently distinct art dynamics. The collector is always at the center of attention and coherently guided in his choices thanks to a rigorous selection of artists and the quality of the works proposed.
