1/9unosunove contemporary art gallery opened in November 2005 at the historic Palazzo Santacroce. The building designed by the architect Carlo Maderno in the 16th century is located in the heart of Rome, between Campo de' Fiori and the archaeological site of Largo Torre Argentina. The 180-square-meter gallery is divided into two exhibition spaces and a room dedicated to reception and offices. The gallery represents and promotes both established and emerging international artists working across various media, including video, photography, installation and sculpture. In addition to organizing exhibitions within its own spaces, the gallery is actively involved in the production of external projects in collaboration with museums, institutions and public venues, and it regularly takes part in contemporary art fairs in Italy and abroad.
